Peter Radley
I first started painting in 1969, joining an oil painting class in Saffron Walden. However, pressures of family life and career got in the way and I didn’t pick up a brush or pencil again until 2006! I started trying to use acrylics, but not very well. Then on a Fred Olsen cruise to the Baltic there was a watercolour class which got me going, and overcame some of my phobias about watercolour. Since then, I have tried different media in phases, I guess mainly pastels, but also with pen, plus watercolour wash and sometimes acrylic as well. Haven’t gone back to oils – yet!
